Description
Friendship Garden a tribute to my dear and much missed friend. Do you ever wonder what inspires you to paint a specific picture. Well after learning that my dearest pen pal and treasured friend was ill I wanted to paint a tribute painting but could not decide should it be abstract, should it be a landscape, oh the possibilities were endless but non inspiring in my mind, all fell short of describing what I had felt for this woman. Then I began to look at an older painting I had been working on since learning of her illness (one I had discarded a few years back and never finished) and decided that is why I had begun to finish it finally, it was for my dear sweet friend. You see two windows (two lives) looking out on a beautiful garden, each with its own view but coming together in unison as one beautiful view, that was our friendship. Two individuals brought together over the beauty and wonder of art who found so much in common that they continued to write each other, encourage, console and inspire each other blooming into am unforgettable friendship. I am sad to say that my beautiful, wonderful, colourful and inspiring friend passed two month ago today, I miss her so much, but I am so blessed to have known her and loved her during our brief years together. Charlotte will forever be one of my most treasured and never forgotten friends, love you always and will forever miss you dear friend.
